My internship started yesterday, and I love it! Will post all the details soon, busy life of an intern and all 😉 But I have time to say that Hello World is an incredible, innovative and inspiring agency. I feel incredibly blessed, and I’m learning truck loads!

I stumbled upon this quote on from an advertising legend while doing some research:

“Merely to let your imagination run riot, to dream unrelated dreams, to indulge in graphic acrobatics and verbal gymnastics is not being creative. The creative person has harnessed his imagination. He has disciplined it so that every thought, every idea, every line he draws, every light and shadow in every photograph he takes, makes more vivid, more believable, more persuasive the original theme or product advantage he has decided he must convey.”

Bill Bernbach, found on an excellent branding resource site Brand Strategy Insider.

“Philosophy has not remained unaffected by the general movement that replaced Critique with sales promotion. The simulacrum, the simulation of a packet of noodles, has become the true concept; and the one who packages the product, commodity, or work of art has become the philosopher, conceptual persona, or artist.”

– Deleuze & Guittari, What is philosophy?

I love this ad, The Hot Wings Craving. Especially when he’s on the scooter and the monkey on his back is reaching ahead of him, well-done to the puppeteer! At least they’re not denying that fast food is dangerously addictive, and could be harmful to your health if not kept under control. 🙂 Although I’m not sure if that’s what they were going for….
